From Cruise Port: Napier
We will meet you at your cruise ship before starting the tour driving through Napier, the Art deco Capital of the world and our guide talks about the Earthquake that created the unique area that is Napier and discusses the architecture.
Then on to Clive,
pointing out the local area and river history of Tukituki River, and the bountiful Tukituki valley and where we stop for photo opportunities
Along the way see the animals' grazing and lush farmland whilst our experienced guide points out the best features including orchards and vineyards. We drive up right to the top of Te Mata peak, this great feature in the landscape is 399 meters
above sea-level and you get to take your photos from the top of this very steep landmark our guide will point out the features of the landscape that can be seen from these panoramic views above Hawkes Bay
Our next stop is the Arataki Honey Visitor Centre where our guide will take you through this tasting experience and see the live bees
in their hives, that have a window that enables the visitor to look right into the hive and see the bees working up close also a great opportunity to purchase local products and honey
At Te Mata Figs, we enjoy tasting fresh fig products, you may wish to purchase a coffee or ice cream here.
Askerne Vineyards is a boutique WINERY where you are able to taste the fine wines they produce and to purchase the wines if you wish whilst enjoying a cheese platter, the cheese is locally produced, this experience has a fee attached so if you don't drink you don't pay for others
We will make our way back to port to your cruise ship.
